DFS unable to connect to share

We currently have a DFS setup with multiple roots.  One of the roots are unable to connect to its share.  We are able to connect to the server share it should be mapped to, however DFS states that the "device is not ready".  There are no errors within the Event Log to point to what the problem may be or if I have the correct share in mind.  Here are the questions I have:

1) How am I able to find the original share location?
2) If the share location is correct, then how am I able to have it connect back to DFS?

Resolutions:

1. Make sure the DFS is available.

2. If you have a name resolution issues, You may try the following commands

net use \\FQDN\shared

net use \\servername\shared

net use \\serveripaddress\shared

3. Check the DNS and WINS settings.

Went into ADSI, changed the name of the share to share2, created a new share with the same original name in DFS.
