Hi,

We are using Check Point's secure VPN client VPN-1 SecuRemote / Secure Client NGX R60 HFA 03.

It ios working fine on Windows Vista and Windows XP both 32 bit versions, we now come to try it on Windows 7 64 bit and it wont run.... Even though it has installed itself in the x86 program files are and the process is running as 32 bit.

Any ideas?

Sadly, SC is NOT supported on Windows 7 64 bit.

I have attached the release notes for info bud.l

The 64 bit aspect of teh client still seems to be a sticking point.

Might be worth looking into Endpoint connect, which is the newer version of SC and can be used on its own, or as part of the full End point security suite.

Hi,

So does that mean it wont run even though it has installed in the x86 Programs folder?
I have not managed to get it working at all, even if it does install.

As the 64 bit version is not supported, there is very little that we can do to escalate this sadly.

Have a look at end point connect, which may help you here

Hi,

Are they pahisng out the Secure Client software?
Yes they are, but support for secure client/secure remote is still valid til some time in 2011 I think (it was extended from 2010)

They are preferreing the new end point security which can incorporate:
AV
Firewall (zone alarm)
Media encryption
endpoint connect (VPN)

But the VPN client can be used on its own
