Tracking Print Copies with Event Viewer

I have a Windows 2003 server that I share printers on.  My users print MS-Word docs to those shared printers.  I use the server's Event Viewer to capturing and tracking print jobs.  I noticed that if a user specifies Number of Copies in Word to print, the Event Viewer only shows 1 copy.  How do I fix this so I can track the number of copies of a print  job submitted to the server?  Thanks!

HP's WebJetAdmin or Xerox' CentreWare Web are both good freeware solutions to what you are looking for.  If you want a pay service third party application, I would suggest a simple google of "printer server auditing 2003" and it will yield a great deal of results.  Windows 2003 doesn't have a way out of the box to check the number of copies of the documents printed.  For whatever reason, MS just decided not to include that info in the default audit log that shows up in your security event viewer.

Yes, one job does not record how many copies or pages, I prefer to use the printer internal web engine to report on this..
Its not a feature of any print drivers I'm aware of.

The question was a "how to" and was answered.  I am not sure that a delete no refund is the best way to close this question.

I am fine with a point split between the two Experts who answered, if the other Expert would agree with that.  Comment IDs for resolution would be http:#26461425 and http:#26461442.

I was hoping for a more native solution within the 2003 Server print spooler, but like others have said, Microsoft seems to ignore the number of copies.
