Castelle FaxPress and Windows 7

Has anyone been able to get Castelle FaxPress working on Windows 7? I got it to install but I had an error. Hit the program and it seemed to function correctly in the local admin account, but when I switched over to a user and tried to print to the castelle faxpress driver I would get "A program running on this computer is trying to display a message" prompt. If you hit view the message then it would run you through a series of errors until the whole thing crapped out on you. I tried to get some screenshots but it appears you can't take them anytime after you the view this message prompt.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working?

They are currently working on a print driver for Windows 7 (per tech support). They did give me a work around that adds a few steps to the process of sending a fax. First open up Faxmain on the clients computer and login. Once in go to the toolbar and select compose fax. When the box appears you can enter the fax number, subject and so on. Once that is completed go to the attachment tab at the top and browse for the document you are wanting to send. Once you have found it go back to the main tab and add text in the notes section if you like then just send away. The reason this works is due to the fact that documents attached through this process are converted on the server and not the local desktop. The print driver for the desktop client just gives it the ability to do the conversion right then and there saving the couple of steps.

Hope this helps.

The best solution I have come across while helping clients install Castelle faxpress 9.1 on Windows 7 or Windows server 2008 is to run the setup under compatibility mode for Windows Vista. FYI Castelle Faxpress is no longer manufactured and no longer supported by Open Text (Captaris) and has been replaced by Open Text Desktop Appliance (Formerly named Captaris Faxpress).

Well my solution was to go with a brand new fax product. Castelle out lost my money on this because of this and I will not use them in the future.
We also moved on to a new fax server as well and I am very, very please with how well it is running. It is called MultiTech FaxFinder and from my experience with it I would highly recommend the product.
