indd files not associated with InDesign CS4

Hi

Just a nusicance problem but my InDesign files (CS4) are not associated with the program and I cannot associate them with InDesign it just defaults to Photshop now originally it was a blank file icon.

Is there a way to correct this so that my indd files open in InDesign automatically.?

BTW, I am running Vista home premium SP1

Is it not enough to right-click an InDesign file and choose Open with... and select InDesign?
I'm not sure if the translation of the menu items i correct.

Right click one .indd file and select Properties. In the general tab under "Open with:" there's a button "Change...". Klick that, select InDesign and klick OK.

That should work as long as Photoshop doesn't destroy that association again...

Hi

Nope, when right clicking I don;t even get an option to open with, sorry I wasn't clear about that. My guess is I have a registry problem, I just have no idea how to correct it and am hoping someone here would have the answer.
