ESX 3.5 vmnic config requirements for network IP change
We have ESX servers that connect to our DMZ via a single physical nic. I am planning a project to change the network configuration of the DMZ, moving it from a public IP range to Nat'd private addresses. I need to know what needs to be done at the NIC/vmnic side of things to cope with the change in IP's.
The vmnic presently displays an 'observed IP range', but I am unable to track down any reference to a fixed IP on the appropriate NIC.
As I am unable to test this prior to cutover I'd like some sort of positive confirmation on what needs to be done for this to work

There are couple of ways you can do this
You can keep you current vmnic settings but hide your VMs in isolated vSwitch
Refer to my answer in https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/25074919/How-to-emulate-a-Firewall-DMZ-Local-network-using-VMWare-ESXi.html
Perhaps that could give you some ideas
Can you screenshot you current network config or a draw a simple network diagram so that we can propose best design for you

So you want to move VMs to vSwitch2?

Nope - we have 2 VM's connected presently - I'm unsure why they did not show in the original image.
These VM's will be re-ip'd to the new network IP range, along with other physical hardware on the DMZ.

Is there any config that needs to be done to vmnic3?

Apologies, original image was from a host with no DMZ VM's attached.

VMware, a software company founded in 1998, was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies. VMware has many software products that run on desktops, Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS, which allows the virtualizing of the x86 architecture. Its enterprise software hypervisor for servers, VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi), is a bare-metal hypervisor that runs directly on the server hardware and does not require an additional underlying operating system.
