Sever Hang: ATIES ECHO.9.7.8398 with universal Restore

I havent got a chance to simulate DR thru Rescue Disk Media. I dont know if i did something wrong or didnt do something that is necessary on the procedure.

Here is what i did:
- Install Acronis TI Enterprise Server v9.7.8398 and Universal Restore
- Create Bootable Rescue Media on CD disk (thru GUI- windows)
- Create Full Backup of the "My Computer" test server (C: D:) Partitions
- then choose external USB disk as "Backup Archive Destination" (G:\MyBackup.tib)
- everthing goes fine and backup successful..
- I reboot the server, boot the server thru newly created "Bootable Rescue Media" CD disk.
- choose "Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server (FULL VERSION) -OR- Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server with Universal Restore (FULL VERSION)" but the server hangs "blank screen" and its not responding!
- i noticed that everytime i choose any on the menu with (FULL VERSION) the serverhangs.
- but if i choose (SAFE MODE) in any of the software on the menu it works BUT ofcourse it will not support or will not detect/ see the attached external USB which my TIB archive file located.

i need your help and we want this ACRONIS to be our hero in the time of disaster.

Problem is in Linux which is used as full version as far as I know. And safe mode uses DOS that has no USB support as you noticed.
You need either to build WinPE based Recovery CD or build Bart PE for possible go.
At the same time I would try different solutions such as Ghost and Paragon. The last one is used by me widely and it has same functionality as ATI. For example Drive Backup 10 Server has Adaptive Restore feature inside of P2P Wizard. This allows restoring image to dissimilar hardware.
Rescue media is based on:
Linux & DOS
WinPE 2.1 with Add Driver feature that gives you chance to load drivers for the specific hardware if needed.

Thank you for your info. i really want to do an exact DR process with any of Backup andrecovery software. I just came to know that ATI which is now Acronis Backup and Restore is widely used but has also numerous problem and issues when it comes to backup and recovery.

let me try the one that you advice- Paragon, I downloaded a cracked :) version of this, i hope this will work. Hence, if you know any software that can recommend for Disaster Recovery aside from paragon please let me know. Thank you.

hi noxho, ok. now i have the image backup file of my test server with 2 hdisk as raid 0, i save the backup file in my external hdisk(Img_1_C.pfm)and performed recovery on the server right after successful backup but while booting it gives an error saying "Error loading operating system"

please help
