Rent Time on IBM z/os mainframe to learn
Anybody know where I, as an individual, could gain access to a mainframe system to learn my way around. If it is not cost prohibitive, I would be happy to use a for pay service.
I just need to learn my way around TSO/ISPF etc and can't seem to figure out a way to get hands on access.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would be careful on that system. That is a IBM AD/CD system and by providing free access to it they are in violation of the IBM terms of agreement of AD/CD. I would assume that anything you put there is going to be looked at and possibly "borrowed", so be careful with what you put there.
Since you are attempting to run a Cobol program, I would assume that you have an IBM mainframe some place else. Why aren't you using it?

I've actually secured a free account at this site:

I'm not sure what the rub is but I got a free TSO login and am bouncing around in it creating and browsing PDS' and Members. I'm getting ready to upload a sample COBOL program via FTP to my PDS.
As far as what I need to know about TSO/ISPF - first I'd like to get comfortable navigating the different panels etc, but eventually I'd like to be able to run a COBOL program I have for a client.
My COBOL/Mainframe guy seems to have disappeared and I need to figure out how to get this done quick! Crash course!!!!! Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz crackkkk boooom!
