How to bring back up Network Adapters that are down in Vsphere on ESXI Servers?

Hi Everyone,
I was in the process of repatching some of my Network cabling and I had to remove and disconnect a network cable that was connected to one of My ESXi Servers to achieive this. I vmotioned all the Machines that would be affected off the server and unplugged it from my switch. When I had tidied up the rest of the cabling I connectected the ESXi Server port back to the same Switch port that it had previosly been connected to but the connection never came back up.

When I checked the Network configuration of My ESXi Server in VCentre it listed the adapter as being down. I have confirmed that the Adapter is indeed physically connected to the switch and that nothing has changed in the switch configuraion. IS there anyway in VCentre to bring the Adapter back up?

Any assistance or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys,
I had no luck when restarting teh Server but eventually got the NIC back up by simply pluggin the nic directly into my laptop and then plugging the original cable back into the NIC. For some reason the NIC Just came back online after that.
Thanks for all your assistance.
