DB2 Connect Server 9.1 installation issues
I've received following errors during the DB2 9.1 Fixpack7 installation on Windows 2003 Ent server. I’ve used local user account db2admin, (member of admin group) . What causes these issues? Any ideas?
ERROR: one or more errors occurred while creating the DB2 Administration Server. The DB2 Administration Server may not function properly. Create the DB2 Administration Server Manually. If the problem persists contact your technical service representative.
ERROR: The installation location for this product can not be found or it is invalid.
ERROR: An error occurred while configuring the instance “DB2”
1: Updating ODBC driver locations:…..failure

have you tried installing using the local administrator?

no. the local admin account is disabled, but my account is a member of local admin group. I also have tried using SYSTEM account during the installation and I still get the same errors. I tried uninstalling clean and reinstalling few times with no luck. thanks for your response.
did you have such problems when trying to install older fixpacks?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
