How can we setup email alerts in SBS 2008 when we are not using exchange?

How can we setup email alerts in sbs 2008 when we are not using exchange server.  I would like to have the alerts sent to my yahoo.com.

You can install the SMTP service - it is a part of IIS. Then you can use that to send the alerts.
