OCS SERVER 2007
Hi,
I have configured an OCS (Office Communication Server)2007 Server in our organization and its working fine in the local environment. While I am trying to login through the OCS client I can login to OCS server and can access all the features of OCS Server. But while I am trying to login externally from another network it provide me an error for the Certificate. The error is like “There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server. Please contact your system administrator”. So please suggest for the same so that I can login to the OCS server externally.
Thanks

No I did not deploy the EDGE server because while I am trying to deploy this server it provide me an error message that “Not Available: Edge Server cannot coexist with communicator web access” So I don’t deployed the Edge Server coz I need the web access.
Yes I am using a locally sign cert from my own CA. Can you please tell me what kind of cert I have to generate or buy for the same?
I am connecting to my network by using port forwarding from local IP to Live IP. That’s why I can login through IE to the OCS server but an error is shown for my Cert. While I am typing like https://com-srv.xxx.xxx:443 I can login to that URL by using my local credentials from externally also. But while I am using the OCS client it’s deny me to login and provide me the cert error.
Please suggest for the same so that I can use a proper cert for my OCS server and can login through externally.
Thanking You

If you are trying to do it like you describe you will need a publicly trusted CErt.
I DO suggest you get install the edge server since it gives you a lot more security and functions like live meeting.. But you need to installe it on a seprat server from the web communicator.
You will still need public Certs if you do this to..
