Symantec Ghost Suite 2.5 not working with Bitlocker
Hello -
We are currently using Symantec Ghost Suite 2.5 to image our computers in the department. The way that we do it is boot up with a CD/DVD that was created by Ghost that is bootable. Then we pull the image off of an external hard drive that is plugged into the USB port. Our problem is that the external drive has been encrypted with bitlocker to go. It will soon be a department policy to have all external storage devices encrypted with bitlocker so we can't undo that. Ghost doesn't recognize the drive when it is booted up. Any ideas how to get around this? Has Symantec came out with a new version? Thanks for your help!!

Use network instead of the external hard drives. Either access the image from a mapped share on the server or use GhostCast server on a server or workstation (the last option might be a solution for you if you plugged your external USB to the workstation serving GhostCast). But for my experience it might be faster if you put the image on the server.

That would work but it takes longer to pull the image off of the network rather than to pull it from an external drive. Our images are about 4-6gb in size.
