Entourage – RGE files – convert to PST – OR open like a PST on a Mac? - How to achieve?
Hi,
Cutting a long story short I have a scenario where I have a Macbook with Entourage ( that has been disconnected from the internet) and I need to get a large amount of emails from this entourage into another entourage that is connected to an exchange server.
In the PC world I would achieve this by taking a dump of the Macbook email into a PST file. Moving the PST file onto the Mac that I want to move the emails to, and then be able to open up that PST file as a separate folder and then pick and choose what emails I want to move across to the exchange stored email store.
I have some questions regarding this in the Mac world.
1) Is this possible in the Mac world? Therefore I created a dump and it created an “RGE” file. Is it possible for me to open that RGE file and view the emails within it, in additional to the Mac entourage already being connected to an exchange server, and the opening of that RGE does not affect the emails stored in exchange (Hope this makes sense)
2) Is there a way of converting RGE files into PST files so then I can do all the work on a PC with which I am more familiar?
Many thanks for any input on this.

Thanks for input. Never did manage to confirm some of the final points but I think I have concluded all I need.
Seems there are a few differences with the way Entourage does some things and Outlook does.

Off hand do you know if that is possible?
