How to connect smartboard and CPU monitor?

We are using a smart board to teach in the classroom. Is there anyway that we can connect cables or use something where the smart board and the CPU monitor can share the image?

what type of video card does the computer have,  what type of connection does the smartboard and monitor need?

Please check what the max video resolution for your computers video card supports along with the maximum resolution that the smartboard supports.

If both devices accept the same resolution and the same video connection you can use a splitter like the links that killa provided

if the video connections are different (example: smartboard is dvi and pc is vga)  you could always add a usb video adapter like this http://www.diamondmm.com/BVU195.php

I currently use that adapter for an additional monitor and love it.  It supports up to 2048 x 1152 and supports a vga as well as a dvi connection.

The connections are the usual video output from the CPU, usual video input for CPU monitor. Smartboard has same input connection as CPU monitor (don’t know their technical name). I gues I can go ahead with any of the suggestions above?

if they all have the same,  which I assume is a vga connection (blue) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cc/VGA_port.jpg

then a splitter would do the job as long as the resolutions match up
