I hired an IT guy to get my systems installed. Turns out, all of a sudden when I log into the server it says "This version of Windows Server 2008 is not Genuine".
Ready for this? This IT guy is now in jail!
I paid this guy for the software and everything, but he had everything. If I go buy a retail copy or something, can I add the new "legitimate" license key on the existing installation or am I going to have to hire someone to start all over again?
I've been running this server for about 7 months now so I don't even know what software or features are installed.

If you KEEP this installation, how do you know what he did doesn't include back doors to steal data or potentially corrupt your system - especially when he gets out of jail. If you want to be safe, you should get the system redone.
