No color on tv when using nvidia 7300 GT via composite video

I have an AGP nVidia GeForce 7300GT card installed on an Dell Optiplex GX270.  The television does not have a s-video input.  It does have a composite input.  What the previous technician has done was to take an rg6 cable and use a converter to composite on both ends.  The television used to have color on the old card.  I believe it was an ATI.  Now, the LCD shows color but the television will only see black and white.  The s-video out on the card came with a converter with RGB connections.  Only the green sends a signal to the tv.  Anyone know how to get this television to display full color?  I've tried every setting on both the TV and the nVidia control panel I have seen.
