Virtual Desktops

I am looking for a way within Microsoft products such as HyperV to boot a PC that does not have a HD from a CD or Memory stick and use a Virtual Windows 7 desktop. Is this possible or do I need to look at anouther solution?

Pretty simple, followed this guide about 2 weeks ago. Used a 16 gig thumb drive for it.
