How to connect to web interface on Linksys RTP300 Router

I just got a 2nd hand Linksys RTP300 Router. I connected it to my Belkin router, and looked at its DHCP client list. The RTP300 shows up with its MAC address and a dynamic IP address 192.168.2.27. I go to that address with my browser and no response - eventually times out.

What am I missing?

have you reset the linksys to factory defaults ?

To reset RTP300 press and hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds (at least).
the default username is admin and the default password is admin

the default IP address is 192.168.15.1 when reset to factory default..

because your network is 192.168.2.x it'd be quicker to plug your PC directly into the RTP300 and get a DHCP address from it first then configure it directly before plugging it back into your main network.

Yes I have learned a lot since posting the question. I now have access to the web interface. The problem now is trying to upgrade the firmware. There is no tab for that under administration, and attempts to login at 0.0.0.0/upgrade.html (Please enter the password provided by service provider):are rejected "Error: User not allowed to login this user level."

I tried the cyt tool. The XML update never completes.

My goal is to register the 2 phone ports with an Asterisk server.

It is now also clear that this device "belongs" to Vonage. So I need to unlock it. The unlock links I've followed all lead to one or another roadblock. I did reset the device by holding the reset button in until I got a response.

It is not worth any more of my time. I have ordered some unlocked PAP2s that should serve me OK. Thanks for the effort.
