Using VBA to erase data in a password protected Access DB

I think this is a good challenge and I need this badly.
I have a MS Access 2003 db, lets call it final.mdb. In one of the tables there are duplicated records in one of the fields, let's call it the products table and the product_id field should only have one entry per product. But that field is not and cannot be the Primary key.
I have this db on 18 different computers throughout a few states so I cannot go there nor can I send them a db
Is it possible to use VBA to write a script which will run against this table in a password protected db (I created the password so that is no problem) and remove the duplicate entries, keeping the more recent timestamp of the two product_id entries?
This is waaaaay beyond my skills.
