Set jCarousel control button to active

I'm setting up a carousel using jCarousel (example here: http://sorgalla.com/projects/jcarousel/examples/static_controls.html). Unfortunately the example doesn't show how to set the navigation numbers (i.e., jcarousel-control) to their active state as the slides go from one to the next. I.e., when the first slide is shown, the number 1 should be set to an active state. When it goes to slide #2, then the number 2 should be set to the active state...etc....

I know this is probably really simple, but for some reason I haven't been able to get it on my own (nor with the help of Google :).

Your help is GREATLY appreciated!
