SBS 2008 Set up your Internet address wizard

Failed wizard resulted in running multiple times until I worked with MS to resolve. Default of remote.domain.com was used and then finally changed to mail.domain.com which is what the SSL cert if for. I've notice some issues with the remote.domain.com plugged into different aspects of the server i.e., Hub Transport which I corrected to mail.domain.com. I was wondering what ramification rerunning the "Set up your internet address" wizard would have as this is now a production server. I was hoping it was a good thing to do and would clean up any residual issues from the remote.domain.com by running with mail.domain.com one more time.

In my opinion you are better off staying with the default of remote.domain.com in SBS 2008 and you are far better off with a third party multi-domain SSL cert like godaddy. Trust me if you want to bang your head into a wall until it hurts then don't do these things I've mentioned. There is relatively no harm in re-running the wizards as long as you know certain services will stop and start and reconfigure themselves properly. Trust me, I've done it many times to get things straightened out. But in the end on SBS 2008 a third party multi-domain SSL certificate and running the wizards in sequence will save you a whole lot of problems.

I hope this is helpful and if you need further clarafication or I have misunderstood something please don't hesitate to elaborate.

I'm not sure I fully understand the multi-domain SSL certificate part. Is it that I should register remote.domain.com, mail.domain.com, etc all pointing to the same place? I poked around in the server and have found entries pointing to remote.... and mail.... Also Exchange best practice analyzer reports cerfiticate mismatch.
