What is the best solution for Exchange 2010 Standard Edition High Availability

I want to implement some degree of disaster recovery for the exchange environment.

Current scenario. 2 x Exchange 2003 Standard Servers on Windows 2003 R2 boxes in 2 sites (subnets).
Sites are connected via 10mb point to point line.

I want to upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 / Exchange 2010 Standard Edition on both sites.

What would be the most cost effective way of keeping high availability? I understand that Exchange  2010 DAG can work on Exchange Standard Edition as long as you have Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise.

Would this be the most cost effective solution and would it be practical over a 10mb WAN?

Would it be better to have standby servers at both sites and / or 3rd party high availability software like Neverfail?

Thanks in advance?
