Intel Modular Server storage is failing cluster validation in Server 2008

We have an Intel Modular Server MFSYS25 w/ the shared LUN key. I know how to share a LUN between 2 servers on the Intel chassis itself, and I can see this disk available to both my Windows 2008 Enterprise servers within Windows Disk Management.

It seems whatever I do within Windows, I can't get the disk to pass the storage tests for cluster validation. Are there any particular settings, or order of events I need to do within Windows first ? All other tests are passing for cluster validation just fine.

I've attached the validation report that may help. Seems no matter what I do, even when formatting the drive with NTFS on server1, it still shows up as RAW in the report, which I believe is at least part of the reason, based upon my readings online.

Appreciate any and all help, quickly. Trying to get this sorted out before the end of the weekend.

Thanks!

What version of the intel Modular Server MFSYS25 do you have?  I see no reference that states this will support Server 2008. It does support Server 2003.  Here is the link the the intel documentation

Check out http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/MFSYS25/ to make sure you have all the latest drivers.

ASKER

Sorry, I am running the latest firmware on both the MFSYS25 chassis as well as the latest firmware that comes along for the compute modules. We currently have 1 MFS5000si module and 1 MFS5520vi module. Both Windows 2008 Enterprise R2 servers have all needed Windows Updates as well.
Did you get OEM certification when you purchased this that it supports server 2008 enterprise ? Who did you buy this thru ?
Windows, yes. Clustering, no. We didn't think of that at the time. I've read a little though that it can be done.
Here is al ink to the ms clustering certification. Seems like there may be some idea's here

  Good luck
