Yes, flashing LED is flashing when i insert CD into drives but it doesn't read at all.
Yes, spinning sound proves it is being spanned again without reading.

Any other Idea of success.

Many thanks to all.

Do you not have another drive you can try? Seems to me that it is a pretty old drive...  it is probably broken, or worn out.
DVD-CD Drives are not terribly expensive... seems it would be better just to replace it than mess around too long with it.
Ok if it spins, here's my 2 cents worth
Did it ever work?
you have confirmed that the faulty discs play on other computers and DVD cd players?

you have deleted the upper and lower filters?
Have you installed any software?
WMP is your default player for DVD CD etc?
Do you have power DVD? to play DVD<< required decoder otherwise use VLC

Did you make these CD / DVD?
or home made discs?
Maybe a bad burn, confirm by playing in a diferent system
Are they dirty?

check the auto run options in my computer on the rom drive properties>
I'm on W7 lol so have to remember xp's settings
check the rom drive properties and set it to to ask me what to do.
R/click it then properties  auto play?
You can adjust settings for Music CDs, Music Files, Pictures, Video Files and Mixed Content.
To disable that multimedia type, click on the Take no action icon at the bottom of the screen.
Now click on the Apply button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

hmmmm... sounds like the lasers went dead.

If the system has been moved or thumped good recently, the lasers *may* just be out of alignment.
Sometimes taking the drive out, placing it upside down on a FLAT surface, then raising it about 1 or 2 inches and dropping it FLAT, will reset the alignment.
This is usually tried on DOA new drives that may have gotten bounced around during shipping, before doing a RMA.
Sometimes it even works.   ; )
Thank you much.    : )
