SBS 2003 Backup - failing on shadow copy of (non-existent) file

I have a backup that runs on the local SBS machine and backs up user profile info (along with everything else).  One of the users got a virus that was erradicated.  However, the Server AV shows it denied access to one of the .dlls from the virus on the users profile/desktop (rsmshare.dll) and this causes the backup to show as failed.  The .dll it is talking about does not appear to exist on the desktop (and was in fact erradicated), and yes, I've checked to be sure hidden/system files are showing, etc..  Any ideas?

Is this a redirected folder? I would suspect so as the file would have to be on the server, not the desktop, to affect the server backup. Have you checked the redirected folder on the SBS if this is the case? Perhaps this what you are referring to but you mentioned; "The .dll it is talking about does not appear to exist on the desktop "

RobWill, yes it is on the Desktop of the user's roaming profile (didn't mention that - sorry)  and so the (phantom) file is "supposed to be" on the server itself (and is thus backed up)... Any advice?  I would think it was a rootkit on the local workstation denying access see the file, but I cannot see it on the server-side location either from the server...

RobWill, I'm as certain as I can be it doesn't exist!  I've deleted the ShadowCopies for the dates it was failing on - and we'll see if that fixes it!  I will report back as soon as the next Backup completes - thanks!

Thanks - that was it and I forgot to close the Question!  Apologies for the delay...
