We've got a serious problem here and I'm hoping someone can help. About 5 years ago we acquired 150 "Maxspeed 150n" thin-client terminals for use with our citrix farm. We use a program called "Maxspeed manager" to image and manage the clients.
Recently our management console stopped working. We've beat our heads against the wall for days now and finally came across the problem.
"Your Maxspeed management software license is expired. Please contact Maxspeed".
Sounds easy enough, eh? Nope. Maxspeed was acquired by Neoware in 2006 and Neoware was acquired by HP in 2007. I've called HP and they don't have a clue about Maxspeed terminals. They do have a management console available for download but it only works on the Neoware-branded machines. I've found the old software but when I try reinstalling it wants a license key. Don't have a license key.
We've got it working by setting the date on the PC backward but that is a temp fix.
Does ANYONE have Maxspeed terminals or any knowledge of them including mgmt software, etc?
This is huge; I'd give away 9999 points to anyone who PERMANENTLY solves this one. But it won't allow me to give away more than 500. If I dont' find a solution for this I'll have to buy 150 new terminals and that would suck.
