companyweb broke
Hello,
I just Transitioned a Windows SBS 2003 to a Windows Standard 2003. Now the Companyweb site no longer shows up. I think it may be an ASP.net error. When I try to view the page via IE, I get "Server Application Unavailable". and in the Event log I get "Failed to queue the request to the worker thread pool. Error code = 0x80070006 The handle is invalid."
Can anybody assist me?
Thanks,
Troy

Have you checked to make sure that "companyweb" is in the header for the shareporint web site?

I will look into that.
Also, I think >NET is broken. Would that sto pit. From the Events, it looks like >NET Framwork 2.0. I can't seem to re-install it. Do you know how I should approack the repair of >NET?
Thanks,

I was running Dot NET Framework 2.0 SP2. I downloaded it and tried it, but it failed saying to use the Add/Remove programs. That would fail out because I didn't have the original source. Okay, back to the drawing board.
I noticed that when I tried to run the download, it did open the package, but then deleted it after I hit okay. So before I hit okay, I went and copied the newly opened package away, minus a $srvboot$ file that was in use. Not 100% sure on the name, but it is close.
Then back to the Add/Remove. Under Net 2.0 SP2, I hit support info, then hit Repair, and finally pointed the repair to where I put the extracted files. It took about 5 minutes to run, but it did finish.
After that I was able to Run Backup Exec again along with my Backup Assist, both had been failing out with a .net error. I also just tested the Dynamics 10. I was able to get a log in now.
When I now go to the https://companyweb/default.asp, I get the following:
This Windows SharePoint Services virtual server has not been configured
Any ideas?
Thanks for all your help,
Troy

Sorry I couldn't be more help but I had to get some sleep and then go to a meeting today, I'm glad you got it working. I've actually used the stsadm to fix similar problems.
Did you try to install Sharpoint 3.0 on the SBS 2003 server, by chance?

Somebody else set up the SBS 2003 before I came around. But I bet they did setup SharePoint. And I think that the above fix corrected it's setup after the Transition.
Hey not a problem. Thanks for your help.
