How can I plug a USB 2.0 hdd into a host ESXi 4 machine, and then see it on a guest Windows Server 2008 machine?  I need to copy in a 300 GB database to the VM.

Use Vsphere Client, I added a USB controller to the guest.  Windows said the device was ready.  I don't see the drive I have plugged into the host machine.
