I have been exchanging useless emails with Microsoft about this dll. I have one of their applications that fior some reason one portion of their code becomes painfuilly slow. If I switch my SQL client to the old SQL Server for SQL 2000 the entire program goes back to working at normal speed. The version of SQL Native Client that gets installed with their program is dated 4/14/2006. The version on the MS download board is dated in 2005. If I look on any of the Vista computers it is dated 11/24/2008. The problem occurs on W-XP computers. Is there a newer version of SQLNCLI.DLL for W-XP?
