I have HP ML 2 GB memory, 1.8GHZ dual core process, with Red Hat OS, and I am using it as my web server, asterisk, network firewall, etc...
The server is currently is almost idle
I had a problem when 2 extensions calling each other within my PBX, the problem is solved by forcing the asterisk to be the man in the middle, so now it is even carrying the RTP traffic.
My concerns right now, that this might cause an extra load on the server.
Can I limit the number of calls going in parallel on the asterisk? and with the asterisk carrying the RTP of all the calls what is really the bottle neck in the server, I assume it is the CPU speed, is that correct?
I would be please if someone can guide me in scaling my server.
