Hi Experts,

I've wrote a File-Search-Routine in VB.Net (see Code-Example).

If my EXE search above a whole Volume (i.e. C:\) a exception will be cause by searching in i.e. SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION "access is denied".

How can I foreclose these special Directories in my Code?

THX++

Function SearchNonSQLFiles(...

        Dim Dir As New DirectoryInfo(StartDir)
        For Each fi As FileInfo In Dir.GetFiles

            If (StrComp(Path.GetExtension( ...
                Try
                    ...
                Catch ex As Exception
                    ...
                End Try

            End If
        Next

        For Each subdir As DirectoryInfo In Dir.GetDirectories
            ergebnis = SearchNonSQLFiles(...
             ...
        Next
        Return ergebnis
End Function
