I have to install AIX 5.3 on an IBM System p5 p510 server but I don't have a HMC. I only have laptop with serial ports. I would like to know the cable configuration that I need to use to connect the laptop to the server (null modem , full handshaking ,etc..). Which COM ports should I have to use ? What are the steps ? Should I need to press some keys during the boot ?<br />

Unix is a multitasking, multi-user computer operating system originally developed in 1969 at Bell Labs.
