Outlook\OCS Integration

After upgrading to Exchange 2010 our Office Communicator does not integrate with Outlook. Even tho there is not outlook integration error its not working. so when a user is in a meeting the status doesnt change to (in a meeting) instead just shows you as available.

first make sure that Exhcaneg autodiscover is working correctly, also make sure that the email used for signing in to the user is the same used for his email address, OCS mkes web call using EWS to the autodiscover and connects to the user's calendar to do calendar/OOF lookup if autodiscover or certificates are not configured correctly, it will not work.

do you have any error regarding outlook integration in the OC client
Have you updated the autodiscover record to point to Exchange 2010 CAS ?

Is the primary smtp and SIP URI same for the users ? If not then use group policy to disable the
check, refer following kb,

the autodiscover does point back to exchange 2010 cas are the same for all users i checked all the users having the same issue. the KB you referred me to I've already had set for a year now. it just started when exchange 2010 was put in place. However I checked my Communicator and there is an exchange connection error, odd doesnt show in the notification area but if you go and check there is an error and it says " Communicator could not retrieve calendar or out of office informationfrom Exchange web services. Communicator will automatically continue to retry. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator"
from the OCS server, can you browse the autodiscover entry without any SSL warning?

ok so just to clarify im running Communicator  2007 R2 and there was "fix" from microsoft that I applied and it worked...once I had my co worker do the same and his is now working. the difference is I run outlook 2010 64 bit version and he runs outlook 2007 32bit, when i first posted this thread I was using outlook 2010 32 bit version. Anyhow my new error i get is "Your exchage server is currently unavailble. Communicator will automatically continue trying to reconnect. If this problem continues, contact your system administrator."

so heres an update, I waited and it never went away so I removed outlook 2010 and installed outlook 2007, everything seems to be fine now no errors or issues. The hotfix I used was "Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 Hotfix KB 976135"
The issue has been resolved after doing some investigation
