Actually, SDM is free of charge with a valid CCO.  No support is necessary.  The catch is that when you register for your CCO, cisco prompts you for an email.  Just use a throw away email account.
If you are ultra paranoid about downloading from the legitimate site, you can download it from this link but can't vouch for whether it will have any "extra" features...

Huh, did not realize the download does not require your login to be linked to a support contract. I was able to verifiy atlas_shuddered's suggestion
good to know

that1   For the most part cisco still hasn't enacted their plan to require support for download.  I remember hearing the same report and seems that they actually did it for some time but as of late, you pretty well download most anything you want (as long as it requires cisco hardware to run - so you can download IOS but not LMS).  SDM is a free to play product to begin with.  Moreover, they are going the way MS and "want" people to use it.  The security of using CLI is slowly slipping away.

The link that softwareinformer actually points you to is for the ASDM.
For the SDM go to this link directly at cisco - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps5318/index.html
To go directly to download go to this link:  http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/sdm
You need a CCO to login but it is not a pay for play app.  Download and run away with it.

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the "traffic directing" functions on the Internet. The most familiar type of routers are home and small office cable or DSL routers that simply pass data, such as web pages, email, IM, and videos between computers and the Internet. More sophisticated routers, such as enterprise routers, connect large business or ISP networks up to the powerful core routers that forward data at high speed along the optical fiber lines of the Internet backbone. Though routers are typically dedicated hardware devices, use of software-based routers has grown increasingly common.
