Undesired appointment forwarding

While I was on vacation some of my users decided to do some tinkering with their calendar permissions. User B is now receiving copies of all of user A's new appointments - and I can't figure out why. No forwarding exists (that I can see), and I've even removed user B's ability to view and edit user A's calendar; but the problem remains. Any thoughts?

Hi,

Check the delegates for UserA. This error is normally caused by duplicates being set to recieve meeting requests via Outlook > Tools > Options > Delegates.

The other thing I've read before that may work for you is to remove any delegates from the account. Restart outlook. Add a new delegate that was never a delegate before. Restart Outlook. Remove the newly assigned delegate again and restart Outlook. This might reset the delegate process and clear it up.

When you set up delegates a hidden rule in the Inbox that automatically forwards meeting requests to the delegate. If this gets corrupted you can use MFCMapi to clean them up - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924297.

D'oh! How did I miss that? I wish there weren't so many different ways to do things Outlook... Thanks for the help with this!
