OUTLOOK CRASH - how to extract address book?

Please help! My Microsoft Outlook all of a sudden does not show me my inbox/sent messages, but worse still, I have no access to my CONTACTS. I have attached two screenshots of the problem.

Does anyone know how I can at least recover my email contacts?

thanks

your folders were probably moved or your created a new profile or something.

Try checking, Tools --> Options, Mail Setup tab, Data Files button

Your address book is probably archieved somewhere...look for pst files on your computer and you could be lucky enough to find them and then use the above window to change the locattion

Hi dandraka,

I tried everything you suggested but inside that folder/those folders I did not find the address book or any with with the *.psb extension anyway (I even searched my eitire C drive).

I have however found the only .pst file there was in the folder that you indicate: outlook.pst. This is a 420mb file. Is there any program I could use to browse in it and perhaps extract the address book?

thanks

Do you need the emails as well as the address book to be restored?

Please customize your explorer to view all files then ---->
Try doing a search for *.pab. That is your Personal Address Book.
In case it is not found try a search *oab. This is the off line address book.

Try the url : http://www.oemailrecovery.com/index.html

Also you can refer to the POST :
04/19/10      500      'email got delected from outlook'...      i_harfoush      9      Outlook...

Hopefully this should work, incase 'NO', please let me know the officce version and the OS.

Thanks
SAM

Hi v-2samrc,

the program you suggested did not work. Not only did it not find the address book or give me the option to save it, but it also asked me to buy the app before going ahead.
I am looking for similar freeware. Know any?

thanks
