Yep, use the yellow dog update manager (yum) by typing the above command.  Otherwise, you can use the vi or vim to edit files:

vi filename.conf

or

vim filename.conf

If my CentOS Linux server can't connect to Internet, where can I download the nano package?
Kindly provide url / link.

Don't want to use vi / vim as they're less friendly

http://www.nano-editor.org/dist/v2.2/RPMS/nano-2.2.3-1.i386.rpm

then install with:

rpm -ivh nano-2.2.3-1.i386.rpm
