I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is using ADO.NET an option?

Dim dbcon1 as new oledbconnection(connectionstringforA.mdb)
dbcon1.open
dim dbcmd1 as new oledbcommand("Select ... From ... Where ...")
dbcmd1.connection = dbcon1
dim dbreader as oledbdatareader = dbcmd1.executereader

dbreader.read

dim dbcon2 as new oledbconnection(connectionstringforB.mdb)
dbcon2.open
dim dbcmd2 as new oledbcommand
dbcmd2.connection = dbcon2
dbcmd2.commandtext= "Insert Into ... Values .. " & dbreader.item("columnname") & ", " & dbreader.item("anothercolumnname") ...

dbcmd2.executenonquery()

dbcmd2.dispose
dbcon2.dispose
dbreader.close
dbcmd1.dispose
dbcon1.dispose
