When I open Microsoft Word 2010, I see a message in one of the opening splash screen "Contacting \\sdwis001\Projects\0 Template". This is no longer a valid path, what is Word trying to do?

sdwis001 was our old storage server and software library. I assume Word is looking for an old template but cannot find the setting in Word where is does looking for the invalid path.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello CompGenHosp,

check out the paths listed in File - Options - Advanced - File locations (near the bottom of the Advanced window). Is anything there pointing to that server path? User templates or Workgroup templates, maybe?

cheers, teylyn

I think either the template is not available or damaged.

The answer was actually to go to file > "check for issues" however this answer lead me in that direction
