GPO Site to Zone Assignment

Hello All,

currently have a gpo that applies to ALL end users to modify site to zone assignment and also trusted sites configuration. This is currently being controlled under a User configuration policy.

I am wondering if it would be beneficial to delete this user configuration policy and apply the same settings to a computer configuration based policy as this would require the gpo to apply at each login.

Any input would be apprecieated. Thanks in advance.

We set ours to users like you do because we exclude certain groups (admins) from the policy.  If we applied it on the computer configuration portion of the GPO it would apply to every use logging on to the PC.

Either way is fine if you want it to apply to every user.

If you apply it to the computer portion you could filter out machines but for us it made sense to set it at the user level.
