I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You may need to run vncconfig on the server to enable cut and paste, depending on vnc version

Failing that, you can give xclipboard a try as an intermediary.

Run xclipboard on server

select and copy something on server, paste to xclipboard, select and copy from xclipboard, paste on client machine. Reverse the procedure to go from client to server

Ok, one of the few Linux versions I havent used.

If the desktop is Gnome based then you can install glipper and add that to your panel, not sure of the install method that SUSE uses.

If it is KDE than the equiv. program is klipper

Those should work in place of xclipboard, which might be blocked by your desktop. normally you would run it by opening up and xterm and simply typing "xclipboard &" and hitting return
