TightVNC open software cut and paste feature

I am using openVPN open software to connect to remote servers

Then TightVNC to open a linux session window. The issue I am having is that I cannot cut and paste from TightVNC session to outside notepad

xclipboard is something I download?
What Linux version are you running?
SuSE 10
Ok, one of the few Linux versions I havent used.

If the desktop is Gnome based then you can install glipper and add that to your panel, not sure of the install method that SUSE uses.

If it is KDE than the equiv. program is klipper

Those should work in place of xclipboard, which might be blocked by your desktop. normally you would run it by opening up and xterm and simply typing "xclipboard &" and hitting return

as root try

zypper install glipper

You may need to run vncconfig on the server to enable cut and paste, depending on vnc version
