Yes, both are on same exchange server, and we are using 2007 office, so how to configure that with office 2007.

I've tried doing that but it is saying only one exchange can be configured at a time in Outlook.

Pls. provide me steps how to configure it with another method.

thanks in advance,

Tan...

"If you want to stick with Outlook2007, you could add another mailaccount as pop3/imap/smtp-account (and enable pop3 or imap and smtp in your exchange server).
With this solution, the user can choose from which account to send the Mail."

On what part do you need further help?  configuring exchange for pop3/imap or outlook?

Should the person also receive mails for this mailbox, or is this only for sending with another name?
The user will be using both the email account for sending and receiving mails ...

I need help on configuring another email for exchange in MS Outlook / Outlook express steps.

We don't use POP3/imap in exchange, in this case what can be the options i am left with ...

Thanks ...

ok - if you actually do not use IMAP in your Exchange server, the first thing to do is to enable IMAP and SMTP, and to allow the second mailbox to be accessed via IMAP and SMTP.

Having this done, you could add the second Mailbox to outlook, but do not specify "exchange" as the server type (as in outlook 2007 only one exchange-connection is possible), but IMAP Mailbox.

With this, you get two folder structures in your Outlook (one with mail and calendar, and the second one only with mail for the second account).

When composing an email, you could then specify the sending account  (this will also set the sender-address of the mail). No "On behalf of"  with this solution.
Apart from changing any configuration can we do something to solve this problem, we will not ab able to change anything on server, we need look for a solution without making any changes ....

And as you mentioned that if we use Office 2010 we have the privilege to do it, if so any MS document in that regards ... so that i can tell my management ...

Thanks!!

ok... without changing anything on the server this would be problematic to solve with Outlook 2007

For the new posiblity in Outlook 2007 you cold take a look at http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook/archive/2009/08/25/multiple-exchange-accounts-in-outlook-2010.aspx

Office 2010 will be released in the next few weeks.

I've tested the ability of multiple exchange-accounts in the beta-Version of Outlook 2010 by myself a few weeks ago.
thank for 2010 info., but is there any other way at least that the user select the user name in the initial stage while opening the MS Office .i.e. when the user open MS Office outlook, it shall ask which profile/user name he wants to open then, any 1 user name he selects it shall log in to that mail box, at least for time being we can go for this solution till we change to MS Office 2010.

Do you have OutlookWebAccess running in Exchange server?  maybe you could access one mailbox with the local Outlook, and the other Mailbox with OutlookWebAccess?

Or if you run Windows7 Professional: There you could install a second outlook in the virtual machine / xp-mode
yes, currently I am doing the same using OWA and MS Outlook .

If any other solutions from experts are welcome ...

You could setup the second mailbox within the users profile by going to Tools, Account Settings,

Give the user Send As permissions on the second mailbox (This can take up to two hours to go into affect)
Add the From: field to a new message
Open a new mssage got to Options and Click Show From:

To test this have the user create a new message and in the From: field add the second mailbox (the message will appear to come from the second mailbox instead.)
ISorry, I didn't finish what I was typing.

You could setup the second mailbox within the users profile by going to Tools, Account Settings, Change the current profile, click More settings, Avanced tab and add the second mailbox here.  Once it is added it will show up on the Folders List on the left side of the screen.
this is already done (which i have mentioned in my earlier message). But the problem is when he is trying to send mail it is giving On Behalf of" we don't want that message to appear...

thanks friend we are using now one mail in OWA and other in MS office, but thanks for your solution does that solve the problem so that if i face the same issue in future i can use your solution,

If we remove "send behalf of" and add to "send as" group it will not show the recipient that the user is sending mail on "behalf of" .i.e. now user can have two mails box in MS outlook which he can send/receive as if he is the owner of the Mail box...

Thanks ..
