System error: event id 1003

Hello,

one of our users is having some troubles with her pc. It reboots several times a day. I already did a checkdisk, sfc /scannow, temp cleaning, memtest. All is good. So I was lloking in the event viewer and I saw the newt error (shown in the picture). Does anyone has an idea?

Most of the problems leading to this event indicate faulty hardware, bugs in device drivers or incompatible hardware.

A troubleshooting approach from a newsgroup post: "Boot from CD to start the Recovery Console, then read setuplog.txt, and setupapi.log, to see what happens when it boots.
The second error is a communication error.  I would tackle the first error and see if that resolves the second as well.

Error code: 100000d1 - is a pagefile that was corrupted. selecte the no pagefile option under the perfomance menu in system properties, reboot, and then recreated the pagefile.

Can you start recovery console from Corporate cd?

you should be able to.  If not your desktop admin should have the authority to do so.

ok...then forget about the logs for now.
Lets take care of the pagefile.
selecte the no pagefile option under the perfomance menu in system properties, reboot, and then recreate the pagefile.

That MS article has to much info to get started.

Just pop in the Windows CD

Shut Down your machine

Turn on your machine

Hopefully your BIOS is set to boot from CD first if not you need to select boot menu with one of your F keys.

If prompted, select any options required to boot from the CD.

When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts; choose the repair or recover option by pressing R.

I've done the recreation of the pagefile.
I tried hitting the R key, but niothing happens.

I already started to backup the pc and I'll probably reinstall it.

did you recreate the pagefile in system properties ??
then reboot..... did the error go away or are you well into reinstalling the OS from scratch ??
If so, I would recommend deleting the partition first then recreating it upon install...fresh and cleaner this way.
Good Luck !
