'Access is denied' message during backup of windows server 2000 machine.

Experts,

We are experiencing problems selecting one of the windows server 2000 machine in backup selection list using domain admin account, when I do the credential test, it fails with the message 'Access is denied', it started after we created an another domain admin account and modified few Group policy settings under 'User rights assignments' but once we got aware of the problem, we rollback the Group policy settings and did the group policy update on to server in question but it did not fix the problem, I checked the local policy on windows 2000 machine and it looks ok. When we try to select this windows 2000 server using newly created domain admin account it works for some reason and Backup Exec works ok, I checked the rights using gpresult /z but it looks almost same for both domain accounts.

Any suggestion / help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
