Using Count() Function in ReportNet

I am trying to use the Count() Summary Function in a Query Calculation member.  I am attaching images of what the Query Structure looks like for a better visual understanding.  What I am trying to do, is get a count of how many records show a Discrepancy values <> 0, within each group of "ITEM_DESC".  I wrote the following code, but ReportNet complains of bad syntax... Is there a way to do what I am looking for?

count(DISTINCT [STUDENT_KEY] for [ITEM_DESC], [SCOREDIFFERENCE] <> 0)

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How about:
 count(DISTINCT [STUDENT_KEY]) for [ITEM_DESC], [SCOREDIFFERENCE] <> 0
