System Volume Information is extremely large

I am having a problem with my Server 2003 64 bit server. I am running out of harddrive space on my E: drive. It seems that System Volume information is trying to take up all of the space and is growing. I've tried running cleanmgr and going to more but system volume information is greyed out. I've tried to stop the volume shadow copy service and delete some of the older files but it wouldn't let me. I believe this is something Symantec is leaving behind.

thanks for any advice.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I solved my own problem.
I limited the amount of space that shadow copy has to work with on the E:. Changed the value from 135 GB to 10 GB.
