Automating Analyze It with MS Excel

I have a form that I want to create a command button on that will run "Tools/Office Links/Analyze It with MS Excel".   I prefer to run the actual menu command (vs DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet) since all the formatting, etc. will be preserved.

Can this be done with Docmd.DoMenuItem?  What what be the exact command line needed to run under Access 2003?

you can create a sub, that will open a table or query first

Sub opent()

DoCmd.opentable "table1"
CommandBars("menu bar").Controls("tools"). _
Controls("Office links").Controls("analyze it with microsoft office excel").accdodefaultaction

End Sub
