Unable to edit user profile

Hi,
We have MOSS 2007 environment.
I have some users who are having an error when they try to edit their profile on MySite.
The error message is below.
"An unknown user profile error has occurred.  Try recreating this user profile or updating this user profile from the directory service to resolve this problem"
Strange thing is that not everyone is having the issue.  Only couple people are having the issue.
For example, I was able to edit "About Me" just fine, but 2 users in our organization could not.
Please let me know if you have any idea.

Thanks,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is Diagnostic Logging on?  (It's off by default)

SHPNTAuthor Commented:
No it is not on.  However, I opened a ticket with MS provide log files.  They simply told me to update Feburary update, but I am not sure if I can just apply it.

thanks,

Carefully read the installation instructions Microsoft provides.  Sometimes updates have to be applied in a specific order.

Also, always run the update as a Farm Administrator.  NOTE: A domain or local administrator does NOT inherit that permission it must be assigned in Sharepoint.

The issue is resolved with February CU 2010
