Enable Checkbox field in Gridview

Hello Experts,

I am really really new to ASP.NET. I'll simplify my example. My SQL statement is Select Doctor_NM, Include_doctor from Doctors. The Include_doctor field has a datatype of bit. On Page load, I see the columns. The Include_doctor column is a checkbox style, which I want. This field is disabled. I want the users to be able to check the box it they want the particular record to be included in future processing. By default, all the records will be coming in with the checkboxes unchecked. I apologize for the newbie question but I just cant get this to work. If it matters, this is VB.net not C#

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
